Select Showcase Guidelines
|
|
Inventory listed in the Select Showcase offers only the crème de la crème of GoAntiques. This channel includes individually selected high-quality antiques, collectibles and luxury items from our Antiques and Estate Items channels. This channel is a must see for the avid collector. Items must be in excellent condition for their age and cannot be a copy of other items.
Items are chosen daily from the items uploaded that day by a qualified member of the GoAntiques staff.
Requirements for qualification
- Rare or Unusual - meaning not likely to be found in many good antiques shops
- Of high quality - meaning made with the highest standards and that it is in excellent original condition or so rare that even some reconditioning is acceptable.
- Luxury items, i.e. Rolex watches, Cartier bracelets, etc. can also qualify for Select Showcase, provided they are in excellent condition and have extraordinary quality, materials or design.
Reasons for exclusion
- Inappropriate type of item - If the description uses words like "Louis XVI Style," the item will clearly not qualify. It is not an original period piece, not in the style of, and should not be included in Select Showcase.
- Unsatisfactory description - If the description is not complete enough to properly describe the item, it should not qualify for inclusion in Select Showcase.
- Image quality/Number of images - Poor quality pictures or not enough pictures to show the unique features of the item will disqualify it. Think of what a buyer would like to see on the item if he/she were in your shop looking at the item.
- Item condition - The condition of an item is a prime factor in it qualifying for Select Showcase. It must be in excellent original condition, excellent, or original.
